Lookfantastic beauty box

Hi everyone, is been a long time since I have wrote anything, I guess school holidays and generally being busy trying to occupied my 5 year old didn’t give me the opportunity to do so. But I am back now and hope that you are all well and having a fantastic summer so far 😉

Today I would like to talk about Lookfantastic beauty subscription box which I recently renewed, as I wasn’t sure if I want to keep it or not, in the end I thought it is a great value for money, I mean £15 for 6 beauty products is quite good don’t you agree?

Lime and avocado salsa 😍

Summer is very hot this year and I am enjoying fresh salads and salsas so much. One of my favourites is this super simple Lime and avocado salsa it goes perfectly well with the fish or chicken.

1 ripe avocado, diced

1 cucumber finally chopped

1/2 small red onion , finally chopped

2 red chillies, seeded and finally chopped

Handful of coriander leaves

2 tablespoons of lime juice

4 tablespoons of olive oil

1 lime

Put the avocado in the bowl with cucumber, onion , chilli , coriander,lime juice and olive oil .

Using a sharp knife cut the top of the base off the lime sit lime on the chopping board and run the knife down all sides , removing the skin and pith .Run the knife between the membranes to release the lime segments, then finally chopp them and gently stir them into the salsa be careful not too mash the avocado. Enjoy

My thoughts on the product .

The packaging is quite simple I have a 30ml bottle but I know that you can get bigger size of 50ml , applicator is in the form of pump that makes it super easy to apply.

The product itself is a very light and absorbes very quickly, very light fragrance of pineapple and rosemary gives very relaxing effect. My skin feels very hydrated and fresh. I would absolutely recommend Omorowicza balancing cream to ladies with oily and combination skin.

This beauty comes at the price of £85

1. What’s in the box ?!!! Well a lots of nice things 😉

CAUDALIE -Skin SOS

I’ve been fighting with my dry, dehydrated skin for the last few weeks (well, always, but more lately) and was at my wit’s end because I could barely wear foundation – it would cake, show my fine lines, and generally sap all moisture out of my skin . But lucky me , I received an offer from Glamour Beauty Club if I would like to try and review this serum . Of course I said yes please , who wouldn’t . So I got a delivery about 7 days later yay .

Pros of this Caudalie serum:
* Does feel hydrating and dethirsting
* Sinks in instantly
* Skin is left calm, plump and pampered
* Light non sticky texture
* No skin irritation or breakouts
* Nice scent
* Convenient packaging

Cons:
* Price
* Might be too heavily fragranced for some
* The hydrating effect doesn’t last all day

Overall I’m pleased with SOS serum and apply it every morning before my moisturiser but my favourite use of it is as a primer before heavier coverage matte foundations. They apply like a dream and the finish is much more natural without any added greasiness, especially when combined with a light spritz of Caudalie Eau de Raisin as a finishing touch. I would absolutely recommend this serum to anyone who like to boost skin hydration .

It is little bit pricey at £29 but definitely worth trying . I know I will be making purchase after my complementary tube runs out .

MeMe- Clay carbonated bubble mask

Recently I have been hearing a lot about carbonated face masks and I really wanted to try it, if it really works.

I had a big dilemma which one to buy as is that many different types of it and reviews are always split into good and bad of course, so I just went with my gut feeling and made a purchase trough Amazon UK 😆

The carbonated bubble clay mask has a cute packaging and outside the packaging, there is a step by step instructions and an illustration on how to use the clay mask itself so it is less hassle. It comes with a white color container and a cute angel picture. when i opened it, the color of the mask dark grey ish , with consistency of sticky slightly creamy substance which is quite easy to apply . When I use it, I spread it over my face except eye and lips area . Clay mask is cool on my face with the tingling sensation ,I can feel it working after just couple of minutes, the bubbles beginning to appear and i can feel they penetrating my skin , I usually leave it on for around 15 than just clean my skin with a warm water . After cleansing, my face feels smooth and soft as well as brightened . I am very pleased with my purchase and I would happily recommend this face mask, It makes me feel truly pampered for the price of £8.99

Herbal Essences beautiful compositions

I always loved Herbal Essences haircare, simply because they made my hair look great and fragrance of them is just to die for. When I found out that Savvy circle is launching a Herbal Essences project I couldn’t be more exited , as it is a whole new collection . Well I was very pleased that I have made it into the team, and pretty much few days after receiving an email courier knocked on my door. As you can see on the picture above I received nice set of -Cucumber and green tea shampoo and conditioner , which is very light on my hair, after usage my hair feel very soft and manageable and clean feeling lasts all day , fragrance is very fresh and sweet.

Second set- Argan oil again light texture fantastic fragrance but buy the end of the day I feel like my hair are getting little bit greasy, not sure if this is set for me as even though I do colour my hair they’re not very damaged or very dry, personally think that this set would be suitable for persons with dry and damaged hair.

Last but not least White strawberry and sweet mint I think this set is my favourite out of three as my hair are very shiny, soft and feeling strong at the same time not mentioned again how good they smell.

I am happy to say that I would definitely recommend Herbal Essences new “bio renew ” collection not just because they smell great but you can feel the difference on your hair , and also happy that they don’t contain any gluten- silicones, and can be used on coloured hair without any restrictions .

All I can say is that give it a go you will not be disappointed.

Spiced butternut squash soup

I love a good soup and home cooking. We are all very busy this days but we also have think about what we eat .Home cooking is very easy and doesn’t need to be complicated. I know this soup is probably out of season but I really liked sound of it. Yesterday was very cold and mirsable so I thought I will give it a go. 

It was so easy to prepare and cheap as well and what’s more important pretty quick. 
If you want to try it here is recipe for you my friends 😉

Ingredients:

Olive oil, large onion,small knob of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped half of red chilli, finely chopped 2 garlic cloves, 900g butternut squash of course peeled deseeded and cut into the chunks, 1 vegetable stock pot , 400 ml coconut milk, and chopped fresh coriander. 

Method:

Heat the oil in the large sauce pan, add the onion, ginger,chilli and garlic and fry for 5 minutes until softened. Add the squash, stock pot and coconut milk but leave about 4/5 table spoons. Bring to the boil than reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes until squash is cooked trough. Blitz until smooth with the hand blender or food processor and serve hot . Swirled trough with the reserved coconut milk and coriander. Done
